Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations begins from 31st Aug: Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha. This year the celebrations began on 31st Aug. India’s first ‘Night Sky Sanctuary’ is planned to be set-up in 3 months: India’s first ever ‘Night Sky Sanctuary’ is going to be set-up at Hanle in Ladakh. Hanle is located in Ladakh’s cold desert region and hence is best suited for this project.  This project is scheduled to be completed in next three months. The ‘Night Sky Sanctuary’ has potential to immensely help boost Astro tourism in India.


First drone prototype for organ transport was unveiled in India this week: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari unveiled India’s first drone prototype for organ transportation in Chennai on 3rd Sept 2022. The use of drones for moving the harvested organs from airport to hospital is aimed at revolutionizing the last-mile transportation and saving very precious time which is a must need while doing such transplants.


India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier commissioned to Indian Navy: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi commissioned India’s home-built aircraft carrier ‘INS Vikrant’ to the Indian Navy at the Cochin Shipyard on 2nd September 2022. It is the largest ever warship to be built in India. Cost of building this 45,000-tonne warship was INR 20,000 Crore.
